What is a Relay&Switch?

A relay is an automatic switch that generates a magnetic field when current passes through its coil. This magnetic field controls the closing or opening of one or more contacts, thereby indirectly controlling the on and off of another circuit. A switch is a manually or automatically operated electrical control element used to directly control the on and off of a circuit.
