The Allen-Bradley 1734-EXT3 is a POINT I/O POINTBus extension cable. It measures 3 meters and works with the 1794 modular POINT I/O. Applied in-cabinet, the 1734-EXT3 comes with open-style connectors at each of its ends. These POINT I/O are ideally used with applications requiring a low cost of ownership and they offer flexibility in terms of operation and control system design. They are made up of modular I/O modules. To be precise, every POINT I/O 4 is made up 4 main ports, specifically I/O modules (which users can install up to 8 points for each module), communication modules, terminal base units, and power distribution modules, and can support up to 504 channels or 63 I/O modules at maximum per node. It also has the RIUP feature (remove and insert under power) that allows users to insert or remove modules and other components even while the POINT I/O is running.
